birch2 Estonian birch syrup is produced by collecting the sap from the birch trees and evaporating it to syrup. It takes an average of 120-200 litres of sap to make 1 litre of birch syrup. The flavor of birch syrup has a distinctive rich caramel-like taste with a hint of spiciness. Birch syrup is used as an ingredient with pork, duck or salmon dishes in sauces, glazes, and dressings. Add a bit of birch syrup to flavor ice cream, milkshakes, beer, wine, tea, coffee and natural soft drinks. It can also be used as a natural sweetener for pancake and waffles.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
